The shock of failure hits hard, even if everything has has been running well. Typically at 6:45 AM, your plans change. Fast.

Look at log events. Rethink your order of operations. Look for the obvious root causes.

Then formulate a plan. Call. Text. Email your network. Fail fast in troubleshooting. Time is of the essence. And your mettle will be tested.

Do not go it alone. In explaining and asking for help, you may recount something you missed. And solve your problem. Be a friend always.

Then you will find your real friends and supporters are able to spare a call, or a reply, or return a favor they promised they would.

Those are my top of mind thoughts...

In a normal office setting you'd tap your coworker's shoulder for help. But when you're on an island like this, having people you can reach out to for help is a life saver. Great work.
